Indeed one reporter ( to push events) answer or comment on the whole matter was to damn Mr. Cain further drew things along with the phrase “Where there is smoke there is fire”

No proof was provided. Indeed its impossible for poor Mr. Cain to defend himself. No parties come forward.
Innuendo. Sealed records. The whole process then of sexual charges was one of shakedown and the insurance companies insistence on settling to have the party go away. Records were sealed and Mr. Cain is not even part or a party to the agreement. Its even worse than one person being judge , jury and executioner.
There are no judges ,juries but yet damning executioners who . like civil servants , are never held to account.

All the while America burns, people lose their houses , unemployment roles on – and Obama flies to Europe and lives like a king. “Corporate Jets… Corporate Jets… Corporate Jets”. Its beyond anything fair and believable and makes the Salem Witch Trials look like a fair and reasonable course of events.

]]> In most cases if allegations are made by you against your boss – lol – you will be waiting in the wings for legal judgement. The story was told of a long term employee at a big box store who although highly productive was seen to be lackadaisical by new management.

To crack the whip and “teach staff a message about who is boss” ( by new management) the senior employee was fired in haste. To newer staff in the store and on the sales floor it was a shock . If it could happen to “X” it could happen to any of us – better get out there on the floor and stock shelves or sell more product.

Yet first ideas were to call discrimination or such such tactic. Yet the ace in the hole for the employee was that the shop – indeed the operation was one giant revolving door of employment. If the employee won a case in court – or from the local labor authorities – who knows what could come out of the woodwork in terms of other claims and judgements .

With one lawyers letter head office got the message . The idea was to hire the former employee back – give him his job at a distant outlet , it will a long drive gas costs money – and the re-hire will quit resign . Hence a self limiting situation.

In the end it worked out well for the former / now new employee at the new store where he prospered.

]]> Time management or lack thereof  is what can be said separates the “men from the boys” or the “little girl from the women”. Sadly your boss most likely sits in the dunce corner.

Clueless – rah rah rah … we are proactive……  Yet the latest concepts ( paradigm shift)  most likely came from an article read with no depth of understanding what so ever , and no context from a magazine in business class , that the “boss read”  in executive business class, while having a few scotch whiskey, on the way for a “meeting”  to “discuss” with you the latest ideas and implementations from head office dealing with cost saving decisions , strategies and tactics decided at the latest “upper level management meetings’.

Worse yet its all taken with no depth of comprehension or understanding what so ever.  For example the lecture may be on that most workers / reps / salespeople under-utilize the greatest tools of efficiency – being typically – email , cell phones , pay phones telephones. Fine ok.

The next demanding conversation deals with “I am not used to people using the devices – phone , cell phones email etc”.   In other words we should keep busy regardless of end efficiencies and effectiveness proving how scared of me you are scurrying around driving from here to there – wasting time in traffic , at the parking lot etc etc etc.

What a waste of time and sheer stupidity !  No doubt about it.

Positioning is now recognized ( by many authorities)  as a fundamental – or at least a major underpinning – for market driven companies – at least in the scheme and schemes of manage mold  or perhaps better said – moulds.

Positioning is strategic, and it’s main purpose  ( perhaps) is to differentiate  the company from all it’s competitors  in people’s or perhaps “victim’s “  minds.  It is thus sometimes referred to as the “Battle for the Minds”  or better put “Battle for or of the “little minds”".

Why , or perhaps alternatively put – this is because positioning involves not so much what people perceive  but rather what ….. you do.    Thus this is what makes positioning and its ultimate purposes and powers  a most difficult challenge and set of challenges for most companies , enterprises and organizations in that it seeks an ultimate goal or set of goals of associations in people’s minds, that is to establish what the company , group or products mean to their lives.

Its not unlike peer pressure in a biker gang , and wanabees being told “You are not part of the group….. do you see how they are looking at you..”

One must remember that in North America’s heyday – after WW2 , women went “back into the kitchen”, after running the war output , industrial Europe was devastated.  North America had its pick of any of the best workers that Europe – Germany and the UK – England Scotland had to offer , and life went merrily along.

In the 60′s if you did not “like your job”  then walked away – and “just got another”

Still the interesting part is that with many older people who have come up with the conclusion that they want a computer – especially women with laptops as they are cute , a key factor that comes into play is the absolute disavowal of learning typing skills.  Even when asked “What do you want to do with your new computer ? ….. and it is best to learn to type otherwise how else are you going to use your new computer comes the horror of the request and then the emphatic put down statement “(Royal WE)  Do not want to learn to / will not / do not will not TYPE!” .  End of statement.

In seems all in all , in summary that in most business offices that the typist was the lowest form of life in the organization.  Thus no matter the benefits, no matter the basis of keyboard entry in the world of pcs and computers to many older persons computer data entry in the world of pcs shows all the previous prejudice in the world of management of the 1960′s ( if not today)

Amazing .  A real manager with values , value statements etc etc.

What can we lead from this .   First the power and powers of personal delusion.  Secondly the fact of always having to be on top.  Even in prison there is no remorse for the actions he took against others or means of repent or asking forgiveness of others.  Never at fault.  One might imagine that this is personal statement of always finding the silver lining.  Not so its a case of I am never wrong , the rules are golden and they are my rules

Lastly one of  delusional self seeking behavior to the nth degree

]]> It can be said to the greatest degree that the time spent at a job that you hate under the worst pharaoh overseer can be the best time spent and the best impetus to move on and “shove off ” properly.  After all  think of your job not as simply putting in time – but rather of a time for developing skills – skills marketable for other employees.  On top of that you can laugh ( laugh out loud lol internally when your moronic boss comes to town ( to earn air points) to lecture you off the cuff on “time theft”.  After all by now you most likely will have learned that first of all there are no casual conversations and that this is all a long planned out , methodologically (?) planned speech concocted after all at a high priced management efficiency effectiveness retreat after many many drinks ( on management perks expense account)

Fortunately having your job does not mean , by any means , that you cannot be learning something new and most useful.  Just because they believe that they “have you under their thumbs” does not mean that this is so.  Use this time wisely as a time of self improvement and upgrading.  Take training courses – even at their expense, take the time to learn the new computer programs that the firm has purchased , ( even if you suspect that there are keyloggers installed on the computers and laptops)  Read books to better improve your skills and knowledge while boosting your value in the job market.

Imagine or to put the viewpoint another way – there is “Their time”  and “Your Time” on the job . Interestingly in the world of management control and the phrase “Personal Time for Personal Work”  when you have no “Personal Time ” what so ever.  Putting their time to your good purpose is not unlike your brother in law buying a deal on condoms , handing you some – which you use for good purpose to either screw his wife , or alternatively his sister.

It continues to be an amazement that in comparison to most of the rest of the world America is looked up to as the model of efficiency and effectiveness – productivity that most other places in the world can only look up to and emulate.  It reminds one of Winston Churchill’s remark that “Democracy is the worst form of government by far…. except for the others”.

If what we all put up with in terms of doing our jobs in spite of management , red tape and government bureaucrats who just smile , implement “strict privacy laws”  which seem to have great penalties – but are only applied to taxpayers and citizens – while not being applied in any measure to the day to day activities of those same departments.

Appeal treatment , you may get reams of policy statements , your rights as a taxpayer , ratepayer etc etc, yet the agencies have “Ombudsman”   to deal with such issues.  Yet these individuals are part of the whole same system , who want to stay out of the limelight , keep their budgets and obtain their valued promotions and raises.  It seems they can not be counted on any in any manner to step out of line and do ” the right thing”  Its all one giant game .
