<p>       Yet go to your latest sales / management meeting or meetings , take a pocket or even hidden tape recorder or even a mp3 player. Record the gobblygook or what goes for such talk.  Better yet your company issued Blackberry , iPhone or Android phone can serve as a handy yet you don&#8217;t have to conceal recording device.</p>
<p>         After the event and your recovery from Planet Pluto , pour yourself a couple stiff single malt Scotch whiskey drinks .  Take out that voice recorder , phone or mp3 player.  Play the meeting back , parts and segments of it &#8211; or perhaps the little parts and segments of it that you feel that you can stomach.  Is amazing isn&#8217;t it.  How apparently logical people , hired for their intelligence are somehow treated to all of this and must succumb to this &#8211; even pretending that they are somehow grateful and privileged to be part of this wonderful exercise from the most gifted people on earth issuing dictates and illuminations of earth shattering knowledge.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>And yet another life instructing event in the high tech hospital , high end systems / management  base camp.</p>
<p>The son &#8211; caring for his elderly 100 year old mother in hospital &#8211; was complaining to a friend about attempts by staff on the ward to have the mother &#8220;paneled&#8221;  to place her in a &#8220;nursing home&#8221;.  First of all things were fine as they were -  I won&#8217;t go into what landed her in the hospital but it had nothing to do with care at home.</p>
<p>The mother was a &#8220;farm woman&#8221;  whom was most happy in her surroundings &#8211; there was some Alzheimer type dementia by now &#8211; but it was sporadic</p>
<p>The mother was most happy at home , among her cats and dogs &#8211; the small dog protected her fiercely.</p>
<p>Put in a nursing home &#8211; the professionals would of devalued her &#8220;quality of life&#8221;  .</p>
<p>On top of that they were basically giving her a death sentence.</p>
<p>Yet they were determined and insistent none they less &#8211; they like good socialists and <a href="http://bit.ly/f7Vx0d ">President Obama</a> new what was better for you &#8211; than you do.</p>
<p>A move to the nursing home would basically of been a death sentence for this poor soul.</p>
<p>For sure they most likely were going to have a high end symposium conference with state of the art speakers &#8211; or perhaps an internet conference call conference on &#8220;QOL &#8221; that is Quality of Life &#8211; its importance in treatment plans , and its measurements .</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here is a tale of woe in the &#8220;Civil Service&#8221;  oft called &#8220;Silly Service&#8221;  aka &#8220;Silly Servants&#8221;<br />
President Obama wants to increase the ranks of these highly productive workers and yet in Canada it is reported that the biggest health crisis of all is &#8220;depression among civil servants&#8221;</p>
<p>75 % of the executives in these &#8221; high positions  and jobs&#8221;   say they are on the verge of burnout or suffering from extreme fatigue.</p>
<p>Disability claims among these government workers as a whole are climbing with 30 to 40 % estimated to be for depression.  Indeed mental health claims doubled between the years 1997 and 2007 and now account for fully 45 %  of all claims.</p>
<p>What could be the reason for these problems in paradise ?</p>
<p>What is stated by the participants is that there is a quandry of meetings , distractions and more meetings, utlimately with no one in charge.</p>
<p>Go figure !  One might of thought that it was only in the private sector that one would have these problems.  The civil service is generally regarded as a low stress , but stable job.  On top of that add in unions , the power of union grievances as protection and ultimately early and lucrative pensions</p>
<p>Government workers generally hide behind the power of facade of government &#8211; the &#8220;crown &#8221; in Canada . &#8220;Crown Corporations &#8221; even though allegedly privatized , can not be held liable for their actions or damages.</p>
<p>So what is the problem ? &#8220;What&#8217;s the frequency Kenneth ?&#8221; .  If you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen.  Or is it too cushy and you are afraid to &#8220;get a real job&#8221;.</p>
