Amazing .  A real manager with values , value statements etc etc.

What can we lead from this .   First the power and powers of personal delusion.  Secondly the fact of always having to be on top.  Even in prison there is no remorse for the actions he took against others or means of repent or asking forgiveness of others.  Never at fault.  One might imagine that this is personal statement of always finding the silver lining.  Not so its a case of I am never wrong , the rules are golden and they are my rules

Lastly one of  delusional self seeking behavior to the nth degree

True in real life and in practicalities ,  there will always be a few difficult people who, no matter what you do – or for sake no not do , its a 100 % impossible task to be involved with these morons and low lifes in any manner shape or form.

You can refuse to answer the phone and take the call – when you see their distinctive number on your call display

Jerk-Off or better 1-800-jerkoffs.  In those rare instances , you can work to switch to metaphors and think of dealing with people who you can tolerate  as  a learning experience – a trip to the communication gym for a great and even trying workout.   Difficult people can ultimately help you in working out your  “communication muscles’ and develop great “communications stamina”.  In turn , so to speak. this may well be the silver lining in an otherwise dark cloud.

What is the caste system?

The caste system is like a religious social standing system wich means that the population is divided in higher and lower groups. The expression “caste” comes from the portugese word “casto” (=”pure“).

The four main castes (Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vashaya and Shudra) are called “Varnas”, the Indian word for “colour”. The Varnas are split up in “Jati“. The Jati are subgroups of the castes, and depend on the profession of the people.

There is no social mobility in the caste system, because people mustn´t marry people of other castes. Hinduism believes in an eternal circle of rebirth which ends in the “Nirvana“, like our heaven or paradise. That means a Hindu has many lives and is reborn after death.

The “Dharma” (Karma) is his “account” of good and bad things he has done in this life. The more bad things he has done in this life the longer it will take to get to the Nirvana. His Dharma decides in which caste he will be born into in the next life. So the caste system is justified.

First of all the guy spouts slogans – “Agent of Change…..”  rah , rah , rah

Sort of sounds like your boss – who knows little – has little experience but is going to tell you what to do – all with a sort of smile and twinkle in his eyes – the look of the kiss of death

He knows everything .  “I accept responsibility …..”  …………   ………. …….

Yet when confronted with evidence of wrongdoing – lies , evades and backpedals.

He / she / it advises you on proactive planning  , has you complete extensive business plans…… etc.

Big on self evaluation – for the better for you in your case- yet when confronted that he sat through a racist demigod speeches – news to me ….. I never hear this…… etc etc etc

Yet when confronted that his biggest friends and buddies had terrible pasts – bombers etc -  he was a fine person and authority figure in the Chicago community.

The list goes on .   Americans you have nobody to blame but your own foolishness.

Look in the mirror.

Never mind the little chatter ( none of which is off the cuff) that comes out of their mouths. What is really going on . What are the real concerns and area of focus ? That is other than getting into power – to be in the real position to effect change towards what they feel is “right ” “proper” or to drive that big new Cadillac perk – never mind that the vehicle of choice has now moved on to new models and types. So much for progressive proactive thinking. Its all still way back there in the “stone age”.

As an example and case in point one manager went on at great lengths regarding a discussion he had with a novice , and still relatively untouched , marketing type. The conversation was about the skills – or better simply put coercive management skills of Atilla the Hun. Atilla was widely successful in conquering and tormenting vast areas of geography. He was known as the evil Rasputin of his day. Still he not only was successful , he was an effective manner of men. Atilla did not do the work himself but by command of the troops. The summary of Atilla’s management style was that troops showed loyalty to Atilla and Atilla rewarded the troops.   It all depends which side of the fence or side you are on .     Good and evil is only subjective.  If you are on Atilla’s side the rape and pillage and rewards would be great.  If on the other side of the victims’  then not so good.  The message to any listeners was ” I am a bastard ” but if you show loyalty to me and my projects I will reward you greatly. “Get with the program”

Of course , most of us actually never say ” I will sell out my principles for the sake of my job .” Instead we rationalize and gloss over what is really happening. We think of ourselves of being most decent people whose good intentions make up for whatever wrongdoing and wrongdoings that our jobs entails or demands. Its all about keeping that job in spite of those stupid , deceptive and downright evil managers and bosses. Among the beneficiaries of my boring job at Acer Stup Kirk Aircraft were a group of junior boys that I had taught at Sunday school. It takes some planning to keep one step ahead of fourth to six grade boys and even more to exert a genuine spiritual influence on them. Much of my lesson preparation took place at work.

Similarly during my ditch digging days our church , having moved to a new location , need someone to spearhead a neighborhood outreach. I composed as survey we could use to find out more about people. mapped out our approach , and as well devised an integrated , simple yet comprehensive record keeping system of new contacts – all in my head. The pastor and board liked and were enthusiastic about the plan. A few weeks later , our members were canvassing the neighborhood, meeting our neighbors letting them know that we cared and building a card file and database of names.

A more challenging job would not have freed me to brainstorm the church visitation program.
