]]> The story is told by a fellow who as a helpful sort was selling satellite receivers. Returning a phone call he listened to a man who was trying to set up his antenna to receive Brazilian soccer. Never heard of those channels on the international satellite frequencies he said – but if you heard so it most likely is there.

Well I have been trying all day and i just cannot set it up.
Do you have the numbers – coordinates to point the dish ? Ya sure. Do you have a level – no. What about a compass ? Neither of the two.
How on earth do you expect to set it up ?

Well after providing the proper coordinates for pointing ( the supplies ones were way off), the helpful soul asked the caller – listen i am glad to help you , but what about the person who sold you the dish. Its a good friend who sold me the receiver – he told me get lost to screw off. That’s nice. Yet can i ask a question – what happens when your receiver is scrambled and has to be unjammed again with no codes ? Oh said the caller , he said that was no problem.

One might say the chances of this are slim and nil. If the girl is a bitch before the wedding – watch out for after.

You might think that your boss or supervisor was put on earth by the creator him or herself for that very role in the universe – in the creation of things , events , places and situations in the entire universe .

How grandiose and downright preposterous .

You might well think that your manager grew up in the family of an alcoholic top down management style  of  the Romans,  a biker gang , General Motors or perhaps the railway.

Some things remain in the blood so to speak , and can never be learnt over , or unlearned.

What a waste of time.  Most people somehow complete their work, satisfy their customer base all somehow working around or in spite of their management  and  “head office”

Perhaps it can be viewed that the creator put your boss on earth as a personal test to yourself , your work ethics , morals and scruples.

    Your remain the same person that you were with or without their approval.  Their approval or pat on your head (or threats ) mean little.  You were the same person regardless – the same person who woke up in the morning ,who got in the car or bus.   Your intrinsic value remains the same regardless.  Resist the magic swoop of logic that somehow the minute you don’t fall to their wishes , or miss a production , sales or other corporate ( top floor ) target you are somewhow of less value as a human being .  Magic ( and most faulty logic).  Have them look in the mirror.  How on earth does missing one arbritrary target of their make you any less of a human being.

    In many ways it comes down to control issues on their part – pathological on their part.  If anyone has problems it is them . Look in the mirror.  Look at your own order book sonny.
