You may well think that incompetence happens only at mid to upper levels of business and in organizations. If the firm is run that poorly it would seem that nature, the laws of physics and the business marketplace would take care of themselves. The answer is not necessarily so. Even in times of dire economic and political events the US political system chugs on as usual – now concerned with the love life’s and female friends of political candidates and highly publicized negative stories and events of same.

You would think that voters realize that they have the greatest threat of all to these politicians and would be wanna- political figures. Not so it seems. Politicians in the most cases are the sort who live by the egos – large egos that must be stroked. On top of that every politician – in the same vein as every voter thinks that that their views are 100 % true and accurate and every purchaser and want to be buyer of a lottery ticket is a winner, that every politician up for the race believes they must ( should and will be ) reelected . Hence voters hold the ultimate threat – if you don’t do this , or follow that – you will not have or lose my vote.

Yet at a time of major strife – voters allow , and at least allow the public relations firms who guide and counsel said political figures – that negative advertising pays and is rewarded. Citizens should be calling , emailing and even shouting to their local and national political figures that the game is up – smarten up or your out. Its the end of the two drug stores in a country town. Even if you are Republican or hope to win the nomination – its over for you too – unless you smarten up and represent our interests.

The comedy is that even with all the people losing their houses , no jobs etc etc , high gas prices …… that there is only negative advertising about stupidity and not one word about Solyndra and how Obama’s buddies pilfered huge sums of money.
